Oran Doyle is a children's fiction writer who trained originally in script writing and editing. His career has taken him in several directions, from screenwriting to social work, and he has worked with vulnerable young people and families both overseas and in Ireland, remaining active in human rights and climate advocacy. He also serves as a venture scout leader with the 37th Dublin troop.
He has lived in Dublin all his adult life and can't envision leaving the city.
His debut YA novel, Give Me 'til Midnight, is a time-loop romance described as Groundhog Day meets Before Sunrise, featuring two sixteen-year-olds - one trapped in a time loop, the other stuck in life - who help each other escape their circumstances.
