John De Burca lives on the mysterious and rugged shores of the West of Ireland in Galway. From a young age, he was immersed in the rich traditions of Irish oral storytelling, amassing a vast collection of mythology and folklore, and joined a storytelling group to hone his skills.

A Galway local, John has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since the 90s. He began as a player and discovered an affinity with Dungeon Mastery over time, more recently turning to writing Irish fantasy and folklore.

His debut novel, The Last Five Swords, is an epic fantasy adventure set in a dark and beautiful ancient Ireland, published by Perched Crow Press. His second novel, The Music of Swords, followed.
