Eoin Colfer is an Irish writer best known for his children’s books. Before pursuing writing full-time, he worked as a primary school teacher. He rose to fame as the creator of the Artemis Fowl series and, in 2008, was chosen to continue Douglas Adams’ legacy by writing the sixth book in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, And Another Thing..., published the following year. In 2016, through a collaboration with Marvel Comics, he released Iron Man: The Gauntlet. Colfer also served as Laureate na nÓg, Ireland’s Children’s Laureate, from 2014 to 2016.
